De'Beer Seafood Restaurant at D'Kranji Farm Resort

My sweet family arranged this meal before D and I left Singapore.  Driving to D'Kranji feels like a blast from the past - you'll pass by veggie farms, fish farms, goat farms etc and not much else.   It is at one end of Singapore and at one point, you could probably swim over to Malaysia.

The place is very rustic and the first thing I noticed was the suckling pig roasting over the low fire so that whatever fat slowly drips away to leave super crisp skin the melts in your mouth.  I was quite oblivious to the live band and singer belting out chinese songs by the bar even though it is not quite my cup of tea but I think that added to the ambience.

Roast Chicken
Chilli Crab served with deep fried buns to dip in the sauce
Salted Egg Crab
In general, the food was very good.  The crabs were excellent and it was a real novelty to have suckling pig roasted before our eyes and served straight off the pit.

After dinner we walked around to the fish tanks where they kept their live seafood and 2 huge groupas which were more than 1meter long.  There is also a prawning area where you can catch huge prawns for a fee of course.
