Bene & Chef Hung dessert

Bene is now my new favourite Japanese place just for a quick fix of some sashimi and rolls.  In the 3 weeks that my mum visited, we had dinner there 3 times.  They have a very wide menu but we stuck to what we liked - their rolls!  The must try for me was the Lions Gate roll especially since I like tempura prawns, chopped scallop, asparagus and crab meat all combined into 1 roll.  I also liked that there wasn't too much rice in their rolls, just a thin layer to hold all those ingredients togehter and I could eat so much more rolls too!

We were full and extremely satisfied with our meal at Bene but we were tempted by the shaved ice next door at Chef Hung ... should we or shouldn't we?  Oh, we should, my mum was only here for a couple more days.  So off we went, it turned out to be a great choice, mum gave the thumbs up and it was a great way to end the meal.  She liked the shaved ice so much that we ended up there for dinner again the next day even though she doesn't eat beef and Chef Hung is really all about their beef noodles!
