After a yummy brunch at Au Petit Chavignol, I was still pretty full come dinner. Luckily, it was tapas style modern chinese food in bite sized, manageable portions. Terracotta Modern Chinese is located at the edge of gastown and we managed to get rockstar parking right in front of the restaurant.

We went with their recommendations. The must trys for me were the imperial pepper prawns, the short rib sliders and the fried rice. This place is open till late and is a perfect place for a light meal before or after a night out. I also liked that it had 2 floors and we were seated upstairs - it really was a perfect place for a cosy party.

How does Terracotta Modern Chinese compare with Bao Bei Chinese Brasserie? Well, they are both tapas style eateries but have different styles of chinese food. Terracotta Modern Chinese is larger and is more spaced out, if you want to talk then this is the place. They also allow reservations, Bao Bei didn't allow reservations when I went last year.
