DB Bistro Moderne - Singapore

Girls day out with my mum :)  We decided to try DB Bistro Moderne for Saturday brunch.

Lobster Salad
Avocado, Endive, Grape Tomato
Green Bean, Artichokes, Pesto Dressing

We started off with a Kir Royale and a passion fruit tea.  Nothing special about the Kir Royale but the passion fruit tea was very refreshing.  Mum ordered a healthy lobster salad - tasty but the lobster was a touch salty.  I decided to go for a burger.   And since I was at it I might as well go the whole way and order The Original burger -  super over the top, with short ribs and a hunk of foie gras in the patty.  Very very decadent and seemed like a good idea at the time but on hindsight I would rather have eaten them separately.  The fries were excellent.  Even my mum had quite a few.

Sirloin Burger Filled with Braised Short Ribs and Foie Gras
Served on a Parmesan Bun

Since we only had mains, we had space for dessert and decided to share a yuzu sorbet and a warm flourless chocolate cake.   Vanilla and chocolate always goes well and we liked the combination of dark chocolate sorbet, vanilla ice cream and the warm oozy chocolate cake.  As for the yuzu sorbet, I liked it as you could taste the delicate yuzu flavour.  Anyways, I like sharing desserts with my mum as I get to eat most of it :)
