After visiting the Marche des Quai, we walked further down to Quai des Marques and checked out some menus. Finally we settled on Makila Kafe - I think the deciding point was the Illy coffee for D. We snacked on the mussels and fries for afternoon tea. They were very tiny, very sweet and perfectly cooked. The best mussels that we've ever had. It's a lot of hard work to eat those tiny mussels but boy were they good! They were soooo good that we came back again for more ....

View of River Garonne and the skyline of Bordeaux from Makila Kafe |
Check out the view - it's a great place to chill, people watch and laze after some sightseeing.

Seafood Paella |

Mussels with Chorizo Sauce |
You can choose how you want the mussels done, they have about 5 or 6 ways. The mussels were very very fresh and we really enjoyed them with the chorizo sauce.

Crepes with Chantilly Cream and Nutella |
We finished off the meal with a good cup of coffee and some crepes. It was very hearty and satisfying.
