Din Tai Fung - Singapore

When Din Tai Fung first opened in Singapore, the queues were phenomenal.  Now that more branches have opened, the queues are not so bad but are still there.  The service is very quick and the line moves along fairly quickly.  The food is comfort food for me.  Best of all are the steamed shanghai dumplings.  They have quite a few varieties to choose from but I like the classic one best.  The dessert one filled with red bean paste is worth a try too if you have a sweet tooth.  

I like to pair the dumplings with the fried rice with pork chops or a noodle.  I can't say what is best cos everything is good and very tasty.
